Ruck Walk for Mental Health

Mental Health Ruck Walk

Mental Health Ruck Walk

We Walk Together

What started as an idea rooted in connection and mental health awareness became something far bigger than we imagined.

In 2026, nearly 250 people came together at Civic Center Park for the inaugural MP Strength & Performance Mental Health Ruck Walk — walking side by side in support of resilience, community, and the reminder that nobody carries the weight alone.

From families and first responders to lifters, business owners, veterans, friends, and complete strangers, this event became proof that people are craving real connection and meaningful community.

And this is only the beginning.

About The Event

The MP Strength & Performance Mental Health Ruck Walk is a non-competitive community event focused on:

  • Mental health awareness
  • Movement and wellness
  • Community connection
  • Strength through shared experiences

Whether participants walk weighted or unweighted, fast or slow, the purpose remains the same:

Show up.
Walk together.

Carry the weight together.

2026 Highlights

The inaugural event included:

  • Nearly 250 participants
  • Community vendors and wellness partners
  • Raffle baskets and giveaways
  • Food and drink vendors
  • A community warm-up led by Tammy Kirk
  • Support from local businesses, first responders, and volunteers
  • Mental health awareness resources throughout the event

Most importantly, it created a space where people felt seen, supported, and connected.

Looking Ahead To 2027

The Mental Health Ruck Walk will return in Spring 2027 with expanded community involvement, new event experiences, and continued focus on bringing people together through movement and support.

Registration for the 2027 event opens January 2, 2027.
